I’m a sucker for anything involving dance, probably because I wanted to be a dancer when I was young (a lot of Sunday afternoons spent watching Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers flics) and have always swooned over the elegance and fluidity of the movement involved.
Alas, it was not meant be, but lately it seems fashion and advertising have started looking more seriously into dancing as a vehicle to showcase clothing (dare I say it’s the Black Swan effect?)
Modern dance interpreting fashion is always a good thing if you ask me (and also much more elegant than say Thom Yorke getting his groove on!)

Pina 3D by Wim Wenders
Though we don’t get proper musicals at the big screen anymore, every now and then something pops up like this flic looking at the work of the dancing company of dance legend Pina Bausch. I’ve seen and it’s quite good, though I don’t really think it needed to be in 3D.
