The butterfly effect is a metaphor that deals with the concept of sensitive dependence on initial conditions in chaos theory; namely that small differences in the initial condition of a dynamical system may produce large variations in the long term behavior of the system. The butterfly effect is a common trope in fiction when presenting scenarios involving time travel and with “what if” scenarios where one storyline diverges at the moment of a seemingly minor event resulting in two significantly different outcomes. (“Back to the future” anyone?)
This post has absolutely nothing to do with this theory, but hey, for what it was worth, it was a nice “science” lesson. Instead, it has more to do with my recent butterfly deviations, which were never properly fulfilled, so this is the time to correct that with a full on butterfly onslaught, so enjoy the prettiness and fly away.

And then I remember the movie The Butterfly Effect starring Ashton Kutcher, :)
BTW, the photos were so elegant and regal. Verushka’s and Bruno Dayan’s are my favorite in this bunch.
There’s another movie I watched where they went to the era of the dinossaurs and killed some bug and when they returned to the present, the whole environment was messed up…don’t remember the name though

I actually went through something like that, running after a girl and photographing her led to great things for me…and at first I didn’t want to go after her…
aww gorgeous photos!
ah, i love the photos! & i also thought about the movie starring aston kutcher when i read the title =D
kisses!
I have such a ‘thing’ for butterflies, I’ve been contemplating a tattoo for the past decade too! That Drew Barrymore pic I still have saved, yes I bought that exact mag back in the day.
I wasn’t much into butterflies until recently (can’t even tell why), but lately I’ve been very much into it. I’d love to see you getting that tattoo done!
Thanks for sharing these photo’s.
I’m a big fan of Ruven Afanador and Craig McDean. I’m in love with the fourth picture.
