By whatever standards, having Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams backing a perfume would be a major advertising casting coup, particularly if they engage in a fierce battle over said product. Well, in the campaign for perfume “Greed”, this is exactly what happens. The catch? The perfume doesn’t even exist!
An idea of artist Francesco Vezzoli, this project’s goal is is to isolate and imitate the hype created by the promotion of a new luxury product in the mass market. Basically, a faux ad campaign for an imagined perfume.
